Married: Carolyn + Matt 10.10.09

♥ After their engagement session I had a feeling this was going to be one of my favorite weddings of the year, I was right! I laughed from the beginning to the end and had SUCH a great time.

♥ Big thanks to my husband whom was my assistant for this wedding.

♥ Their first date was at a Browns game so it was only fitting that their wedding incorporated many things from their first date including brown and orange for their wedding colors and hitting up the Pro Football Hall of Fame for pictures. I’d imagine that this theme could have ended up gawdy but it was SO beautiful and perfect. They did a splendid job pulling it all together!

♥ Note to future couples, a dancing pole on the bus makes for fun times! Who knew?

♥ The bridal party played football. Tackle football. Be jealous. It was awesome.

♥ Not too much text because there are a LOT of pictures here, I wanted to include more but I knew I had to restrain myself. Wanna see more? Go to their album on Facebook! If you wanna get the first glimpse of things to come on my blog be a fan of my business on Facebook! I tend to upload there first!

I loved that Matt greeted Carolyn partway down the aisle!

dancing pole
I wasn’t kidding about the dancing pole. It was a RIOT and everyone had fun with it.

pro football hall of fame wedding pictures
Going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame was very important to this couple.

pro football hall of fame wedding pictures
Also important? Playing a game (or three) of football. I wasn’t kidding. They were either, girls vs. boys and the girls threw down just as much as the boys.

football wedding pictures
Yes, they did a chest bump after a touchdown by the girls.

The groom wasn’t afraid to tackle his new bride.

The bride also was a mean quarterback… and she didn’t break a single nail!

football wedding pictures
What do you call a bride playing tackle football on her wedding day, in her dress? Fierce.

football wedding pictures
This tackle by the groom made for a great moment to be captured.

The girls? They kicked butt and took names. Needless to say, they won.

The groom takes a hit by the bride.

After about a half hour of playing, they decided to wind down and take some “touchdown dance” bridal party pics. Here’s the guys version.

This one is the girl’s touchdown dance. They win, again.

football wedding pictures
They got married on 10-10 so I had to play with them on the 10 yard line!

golf course wedding pictures
After another dance party on the bus, we all arrived at the reception location to finish up the pictures on the golf course. The bride and groom wanted a picture with a thank you sign for their cards and I noticed that Carolyn’s hot shoes would match the letters so asked her to make sure she showed them off. You all know how much I love shoes!

golf course wedding pictures
They are just so adorable!

They actually got a hole in one!!!!

The leaves had JUST started to pop and it was a beautiful backdrop for love!! ;)

This was an in-between moment that I captured, it was pretty chilly as soon as the sun started to go down and Matt was trying to warm Carolyn up between poses. So sweet :)

maid of honor toast

cake cutting
Their cake was YUMMY!

first dance

bridal party dance
After a couple minutes into the bridal party dance, the DJ had everyone join hands and spin around the couple. It wasn’t easy to get a clear shot of them so I decided to play with my shutter speed so you could get the feeling of the spinning.

bouquet toss
The bouquet was the looser in this fight over who caught the bouquet first, it was hilarious!

garter
To remove the garter, the groom actually danced up to the bride. It is hard to explain but it was awesome, perfect and funny!

Thank you guys SO MUCH for choosing me to be a part of your day!

Day After Session: Stacie and Chris

Being your own boss isn’t always easy and sometimes you have to make the tough choice of who comes first – your clients or yourself. With Stacie and Chris, I sadly had to decide that I came first when they inquired about their wedding – which happened to fall on our two year anniversary – and decline the opportunity to shoot their wedding. However, it all worked out when I got to work with them for a super fun Day After Session when they got home from their honeymoon and before they headed back home to Michigan. They also had their precious pup along for a few shots!

Thanks for such a fun afternoon!!!!

Isn’t their puppy ADORABLE??

Lucky for us, the beach was mostly deserted for the shoot!

I adore this picture for so many reasons… I think mostly though it’s because Chris’s sunglasses are just awesome.

Had to run with the Baywatch theme that was looped in my head after seeing Chris’s sunglasses.

Can you tell they are newlyweds???

I wish that every honeymoon could end with a session with images like these…

A final kiss before we left the beach!!!

Eric + Melissa 09.15.08

I had the absolutely amazing honor of shooting Eric + Melissa’s wedding back in September (I know, I am so behind on blogging it’s awful!).  Their wedding was an intimate affair with just them, her parents, her brother and his girlfriend and myself and was held at Fieldcrest Montessori (what used to be the Hoover Farm) in North Canton literally down the street from me.

Melissa moved in across the street with her parents and brother when she was about 5 and she was 2 years younger than me.  We became fast friends and our soul purpose for existing was to spy on the neighbors and torment her younger brother.  We grew apart as we got older but recconnected via MySpace a few years ago.  She had moved to Texas and not too long after we started talking again she met this amazing guy.  I heard a lot about this guy and how perfect he was.  He completed her.  When you meet them, you know this isn’t just some corny line from a movie – it is so true.  They are a perfect match.

Their wedding day will probably go down on record as one of the most disasterous weddings I’ve ever attended.  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING went right.  They had came home from Houston to get married here only to find out that a hurricane hit home (Ike) and were nervous to get back.  THEN Ike hit HERE taking down power across most of the area.  She scheduled, unscheduled and rescheduled her wedding a couple times.  During our bridal shoot (where she wasn’t afraid to get a bit dirty!) Eric happened to pass us by in a part of the city he shouldn’t have been at.  The officiant was late.  The dinner was an absolute disaster.  Despite all of these mishaps, they had one of the most beautiful ceremonies ever and I even got a bit misty eyed when Melissa got over her giggle spell.  ;)   Any moment that they were together, the world stopped and things were just perfect.  If they made it through that day, they will make it through life without any issues.

Thank you both for letting me be a part of your special day!

Jennifer + David 05.31.08

This wedding came to me very last minute due to an emergency with the photographer they originally hired.  I am so glad that I had this date open because this couple was some serious fun!  They got married at the Old Calvary Church in Sandusky, Ohio and then we went to a waterfront park for some pics and then to Cedar Point for some more pics.  They rounded out the evening at the Kalahari Water Park for their reception which was just gorgeous – and even had entertainment in the form of Slider (the Cleveland Indians mascot)_!  They danced the night away to some great music!  The DJ was phenominal and I’ve never seen such a large crowd hit the dance floor or a groom dance SO much in my life!  What a great party!!!  Not only were they a fun couple but they were SO much in love that even I teared up a time or two during the ceremony.  This wedding was exactly why I love what I do – the couple was so in love and everyone was excited to celebrate with them!  Thank you to both Jennifer and David for having me!!

Thanks again to my sidekick for the day, Thomas of T1Photo, for coming out!
